Experience
I have never tutored as a paying job but have certainly served as one to my two younger brothers with their academic difficulties in the past. Now in high school and 4th grade, my brothers have come to me for many years with help on assignments and general understanding of what is being taught or asked of them. I have tutored them in the following subjects: spelling, english, some elementary mathematics, language skills, and reading comprehension. I decided to take my tutoring skills a bit further and reach out to other children who may have some of the same difficulties my brothers faced. I hope to become a teacher and know that tutoring will be highly beneficial in furthering my education and experience with teaching. Not only will I benefit from this, the children I tutor will benefit as well.

I am 22 years old and the oldest of 4 children. I am very responsible, dependable, organized, and diligent. While I am all those things when I need to be, I am also very outgoing, funny, and sarcastic. I love going to the beach, running at the park, hiking, and pretty much anything involving the outdoors. With a brother who is 13 years younger than me, I also know how to be silly and can make seemingly boring activities seem fun and enjoyable. I love kids and sometimes feel like I connect with them better than I do with people my own age. I think that I could make tutoring a fun experience for your children and know that we would both walk away advantageous.
